FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS.

OUR STORY

Sourced from the sun-drenched groves of Crete, Greece, our olive oil is a 100% Single-Origin Koroneiki varietal, prized for its vibrant golden-green color, peppery finish, and aromatic intensity. This is the olive oil at the heart of Greek Mediterranean cooking: bold, expressive, and unmistakably alive. Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means. Golden Greek delivers exceptionally low acidity, making it ideal for enjoying at your family table.

Drizzle it over salads, finish soups and grilled vegetables, soak it up with warm bread, or let it take center stage on your table. Every pour brings heat, brightness, and depth, just as it’s meant to be enjoyed in Crete. This is olive oil that doesn’t whisper. It shows up, stands out, and transforms every bite.

TASTE BOLDLY.

DRIZZLE LOUDLY.

WHY “EXTRA VIRGIN” DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN WHAT YOU THINK

THE PROBLEM WE BUILT THIS
BRAND TO SOLVE

Olive oil has a trust problem, and it isn’t new. It’s one of the most targeted products in food fraud investigations worldwide, right alongside honey and wine, because the gap between what “extra virgin” is supposed to mean and what actually ends up on the shelf can be significant.

A 2010 University of California, Davis study tested 19 popular brands labeled extra virgin and found that 69% of the imported oils in the sample failed to meet international extra-virgin standards, most often because they were adulterated with cheaper refined oil, made from damaged or overripe olives, or simply too old and oxidized by the time they reached a bottle. A separate 2015 test commissioned by the National Consumers League bought 11 extra-virgin-labeled oils from major US retailers and sent them to an International Olive Council-accredited lab. Only 5 of the 11 actually met extra virgin standards.

This isn’t a problem that’s gone away. European authorities have run active crackdowns on olive oil fraud as recently as 2024 and 2025, including a Europol-led investigation that resulted in arrests across Spain and Italy for adulterating extra virgin oil, and French officials uncovering fraud in their own annual investigation as recently as this year. High prices tend to make it worse, since the incentive to cut corners rises right along with demand.

None of that has anything to do with what’s in your bottle, and that’s the point.

We built Golden Greek around the idea that you shouldn’t have to take a label’s word for it. Every claim we make, single origin, Koroneiki variety, PGI Kriti, extra virgin, is backed by government certification and independent lab testing, not just packaging copy. You’ve already seen the numbers: 407 mg/kg of biophenols, 0.35% free acidity, zero pesticide residues detected, verified by an International Olive Council-recognized laboratory. That’s not marketing language. That’s a certificate with a number on it.
